Lviv - Rynok Square
Blessing Ministry to Ukraine was begun by Mark and Rhonda Blessing out of obedience to God’s call and it exists to serve Him and the Lord Yeshua (Jesus) by proclaiming and showing the love of Yeshua to Jew and Gentile in Lviv, Ukraine.
Lviv is in western Ukraine and was founded in 1256. It is a beautiful and enchanting city with its European buildings and cobblestone streets that are hundreds of years old, but it also has a dark past and is a place where Satan worked mightily. Prior to World War II, Lviv was a major Jewish cultural center, but during the war the Nazis established a Jewish ghetto and built Yanivsky Concentration Camp where 200,000 Jews lost their lives to Hitler's "Final Solution"; Lviv became a place of torture and death for Jews. Praise God for the freedom He has given Ukraine today – both for Jew and Gentile. There are many positive aspects in Ukraine today and there is a resurgence of Jewish culture in Lviv, but at the same time, a spirit of anti-Semitism has been growing steadily here and across Europe.
The Lord has given Mark and Rhonda various ministries; they have planted two churches and are presently building Bethel House in a village outside of Lviv. Bethel means ‘House of God’ in Hebrew and Bethel House is a place of peace and blessing for the Jew first and also the Gentile. It is a joy and honor to serve the Lord in Lviv and see Him changing lives through the love of Yeshua.
