God’s Word says that in the last days, God is going to bring His people from the land of the North.
God has further declared that He will call to the Gentiles and they will help the Jewish people in this emigration (aliyah in Hebrew).
Ukraine is a country of the former Soviet Union, located between Russia and Poland. Lviv is a western city of 800,000 situated 50 miles from the Polish border. Prior to World War II this was a center of Jewish life and population in Eastern Europe. The photograph at right shows part of the Holocaust Memorial in Lviv. Plaques declare in many languages that 110,000 Jews rode the train tracks beside the memorial to their deaths in the Nazi death camps. One of the ministries we are preparing is Bethel House. This will be a place where Jews preparing to make aliyah can come live free of charge, as well as living quarters for the ministry team. One problem Jews in Ukraine face when making aliyah, is that once they are approved by Israel for immigration, they must wait to be given an actual date on which to leave Ukraine. They generally do not receive more than a few weeks notice, which leaves them no time to dispose of their assets. That means they must give power of attorney to a relative or lawyer to do so, and then hope that they receive all of their money in Israel. Unfortunately, Soviet people do not trust one another, so this presents a problem. Bethel House will be a safe place for them to live while they liquidate their assets, and prepare to move to Israel. When Jewish people come into Bethel House, they will see what is basically a Jewish home. We observe the traditional Sabbath on Friday evenings, all the Jewish feasts and festivals, etc. . On October 28th., 2003, Bethel House was purchased by Blessing Ministry to Ukraine; all glory to God. On September 13, 2004 it became home to the Blessing Family. We are now waiting for the Father to supply the funds to do the necessary renovations and expand it to accommodate 25 people. In addition to hosting Jews, we will also host small retreats for churches and pastors, and Bible holidays for Jewish people. Shalom Aleichem (Peace to you)
